Shaffer Design Associates

Gary W. Shaffer, AIA, received a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Maryland and followed that degree with graduate studies at the Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC and The Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  Having permanently relocated to Gettysburg, he later established his architectural practice, Shaffer Design Associates, to provide professional services to the south central Pennsylvania and northern central Maryland region. Dedicated to his community and his profession, Gary is currently completing his fifth term on the Gettysburg Borough Historic Architectural Review Board, where he has served as Chairman since 1991.  His commitment to serving a clientele comprised of businesses and residents in communities in a rural environment has resulted in a firm that provides professional architectural services to a wide range of clients on very diverse project types.
