ICPJ will hold its 34th Peace Camp, June 9–13, 2025, at Vida Charter School in
Gettysburg. The theme of the camp will be “Bridges to Peace – Walking in Their
Footsteps.” The camp director will be Melissa Rosenberger.
Peace Camp is a week-long summer day camp for youth ages 6–14 that promotes
compassion, justice, and community. Through interactive learning, campers explore
themes of equity, cooperation, and peacebuilding, all while having fun and making new
friends.
Activities include:
Creative arts and crafts
Music and movement
Storytelling and historical exploration
Cooperative games
Mindfulness and nature walks
Group discussions on fairness, inclusion, and empathy
Field trips to significant local sites, including the Gettysburg Black History Trail
Each day centers on a theme that connects history with present-day peacebuilding
efforts, empowering young people to be changemakers in their communities.
